Guitarist Robin Trower has revealed the official video for “The Razor’s Edge” and you can watch it HERE.
The song is taken from his 2022 album ‘No More Worlds To Conquer‘ which was released on Provogue / Mascot Label Group. The video was captured live in 2024 In Concert and it includes a full length interview is also bundled with the concert, which you can buy HERE.
Talking about the song at the time it was originally released he said it featured what he calls “some of my favourite guitar work I’ve played on a recording in a long time,” “The Razor’s Edge” finds the guitarist shining a light on the failure of world leaders today. “’The Razor’s Edge’ and ‘Cloud Across The Sun,’” Trower comments, “those are definitely about my dissatisfaction with the politicians of the day – pointing the finger at the ones that don’t keep their promises.” Few would dispute that the title of Robin Trower’s album – ‘No More Worlds To Conquer’ – is a fair summary of the thumbprint he has left on the musical universe. But as he reminds us, it should not be misinterpreted as his mission being accomplished. “I definitely feel like I’m still reaching,” he considers. From the album he also released the videos for “Ball of Fire” and “Birdsong.”
Trower is thrilled to announce that he will be back to tour the UK in May 2025. After a brief setback with his health, the powerhouse of British blues-rock is feeling better than ever and is gearing up for an electrifying UK tour in 2025! He will begin his UK tour on 14th May at the Opera House, Buxton, and then on to call through Glasgow (Oran Mor), Birmingham (Town Hall), Frome (Cheese & Grain) and finishing it at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire on 21st May. You can get tickets from HERE. Talking about the tour, Robin said: “I was so delighted with the response to my shows last year, hence recording them as a live video. Following a successful operation I am delighted to be back playing shows in 2025, starting with the sold out Rock Legends Cruise from Miami in February. We have plans for two more Stateside tours, as well as UK shows in May. And of course, as ever, new material!”” |
