Robin Trower premieres new video ‘Birdsong’
Robin Trower released a new video for ‘Birdsong’ on Wed 5th October. Robin said: āBirdsongā is my favourite track from ‘No More Worlds to Conquer’ (Mascot 2022). In fact, I think it could be the best thing Iāve ever done. In my eyes, I just canāt find fault with it.
āI had this particular piece of music for a while. The guitar parts and a melody for the vocals were there, but the song didnāt really come together ’till I saw a documentary about the First World War. It really struck me and got in my head. After I watched it, I started to write lyrics, and thatās what tied everything together.
āI donāt really do big demos anymore; I just play and sing into a little recorder. So with that, we went into the studio, and my engineer, Sam, put down a drum rhythm, and I laid down the guitar. We kind of make the demo as we record the song. Then we lay down all the guitar parts and the bass, and Richard Watts comes in to do the vocals. He did a great job on this track.
So smooth LOVE IT thanks guys SfTulL
I love some Trower. !!!
Good !
Beautiful song and fabulous Trower tone as always
Very nice! I’m a 69 year old guitar hack. I got to see you live, twice many years ago at a club just south of Seattle called Montana’s. Both great shows! Also got to see Johnny Winter there once. The first car next I ever saw was, believe it or not, Jimi Hendrix. I was in 7th or 8th grade in school. Thanks for all the great music over all these years!
It’s so you and yes the Best!
Excellent song, Robin Trower rocks on.
Robin, youāve mellowed like the finest wineā¦..!!!!!!
Excellent!
Iāve started listening to Mr. Trower when I was 15 (1976) and Iāve purchased everything heās released since then. āNo More Worlds to Conquerā is another great album by the legend. IMHO everything since āWhat Lies Beneathā is on the next level creatively.

Love this…all of it!!! Been a fan since way back when I first heard you with Jimmy and Bill. Always say you do more for me with your music than anyone or anything can. Keep on playing sir.
The warmth and regret of your songs transcends notes and other raw materials . I am luck to be a fan of such an artist. Beautiful vocal and percussion work. Top marks from Jeff in California a guitarist of 50 years
This is the haunting sound that first caught my ear with Bridge of Sighes. This is how I will always hear Robin Trower, just snaking around those sexy blue notes like nothing, worming the way into your brain and staying there like a melody you remember from a dream. Soooooo sweet…..
Sweet,I like it. Let me know when you’re back in the states.
Cheers
Robin never disappoints! Love love love!

Beautiful Robn!
Absolutely beautiful work. I have seen Robert and Richard play in Norwich a couple of times and Trower is guitarist who has the perfect balance between technique and feeling. This track highlights what Robin does best; songwriting and guitar playing! Itās also really great to see Robin in the studio.
Great track reminiscent of Daydream!

I’m 64 and have been a fan since the 70’s
He probably is under the radar for alot of people
But to those who know know just how wonderful he has always been.
Much love
Wow ! Nice tone Robin Great song you still got it my friend.
Had the good fortune to open for and meet Robin when he was with Procol Harem in 1967.He was and is quite a gentleman.
My very first concert was in 1975. I went and saw you at The shrine auditorium in Los angeles, on the bridge of side tours. Awesome show.
Love it! Fan since the 70’s. Saw you in Chico CA five years back, you rocked it!
Lost our huge album collection including everything you produced. Frickin Camp Fire on the Paradise ridge in 2018.
Keep it rockin!
Have always loved Robin Trowers, I was lucky enough to see him live back in the early days. We are blessed to still have his music with us today.
I’m so glad that RT is still recording, especially in light of the state of today’s “music”. When you come to the Coach House in the spring please consider my son’s band as an opening act. He carries the torch of the great players from the past but he’s just starting (19) and could use a break. Thank you.
Totally Awesome
A great š song! It melo and moody. Still love your music š¶ Robin. Bridge of sighs is one of my favorite albums. Thanks for sharing this new music.
Just… beautiful! Wow!
Ahhh a musical genius in deed!!! Canāt wait to hear more!!
Beautiful song, expertly realized. Stellar guitar tones, as always. Thank you for sharing this.
Always great to hear you, Robin. I grew up listening and learning from you; thinking back a few weeks ago, I realized how critical and formative you were to making me the guitarist and lead player I am today. Thank you for a lifetime of wonderful music.
In city dreams introduced to me by my big brother in 77. I have been following blindly since šÆā¤.
You have never been given the accolades you deserve.
Thank You So Much for the pure joy you still give, and Day of the Eagle still Jack’s up my heart ā¤ rate. I am so glad you are what you are.

Beautiful song. I love the vocals and of course Robin amazes me with his style. Always has been my favorite guitarist since I first discovered him as a teen in 1976. Happy to say I have had the pleasure of seeing you play at least twice in my life and hope to see you again.
I’m speechless. Total ear candy for those who love the blues. I could say more, however I’ll wait to see other reactions. Beautiful.
Low and slow. Takes me back to the late 70’s. Beautiful.
A fan for many years the music fills me with memories. Great voice in Mr Watts!
Keep pushing that music out Robin.
